Directory of Tennis

Karen has over 30 years of tennis experience. She played No. 1 singles and doubles at UW Eau Claire, played 5 years of professional tennis on the women’s circuit in Europe, was the Director of Tennis at Western Racquet, Oneida Golf and Country Club, and at Green Bay Country Club. She was the Head Coach for the women’s tennis team at UW Green Bay for 9 years.

Barry Hankel, USPTA

Head Tennis Professional

Barry joined GBTC in August of 2010. Prior to moving his family to Green Bay he was a Tennis Professional at Princeton Club in New Berlin, WI (since 2003) and the Tennis Director at Meadowbrook Country Club for 5 years during the summer months. He was a member of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay men’s tennis team.

Scott Anderson, USPTA

Staff Teaching Pro

Scott is the Director of Tennis at Oneida Golf and Country Club. Before relocating to the Green Bay area he was the Director of High Performance Junior Tennis at Midland Community Tennis Center in Michigan, Head Tennis Professional at Four Lakes Athletic Club, and the Director of Tennis at Lake Geneva Country Club.

Bob Colleran

Staff Teaching Pro

Bob has 35 years of teaching experience which includes coaching 30+ state champions, many D1 scholarship players, and a number of pro players including the currently ranked Bethanie Mattek-Sands. He played in the satellite tour and has won over 150 singles and doubles tournaments. During his teaching career Bob has been the Head Teaching Professional at LaCrosse Country Club and Fox Cities Racquet Club.

Dan Gage

Director of 10 and Under Tennis, Assistant Teaching Professional

Dan has 15+ years experience teaching, coaching and playing tennis, with a USTA ranking of 4.5.  He has a degree from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh in Education.  While living in Cottage Grove, he coached for the Menona Grove Boys High School team for 2 years.  As well as working at Hawk’s Landing Golf and Tennis Club.  Dan will head our 10 and Under Junior Program.
