Ground was broke in May of 2009 with the doors opening for business on October 12, 2009.

JUNIOR TENNIS PHILOSOPHY AND COMMITMENT

The tennis staff at the Green Bay Tennis Center is committed to providing an enriching experience for each and every child that participates in the youth program.  We have a deep understanding that every child is unique, and one’s interest level and expectations within the game of tennis will vary.  Our goal every day is to have children walk off the court a better player with a smile on their face.  The tennis season is year round here at GBTC and we have a comprehensive program that will make a difference in your child’s game.  We place a heavy emphasis on structured lesson plans, which include spreading the children out into groups with others of similar skill level.  You’ll also find, as your child gets older, we’ll encourage them to engage in all facets of the program as there are plenty of playing opportunities outside of their clinics/practices.

Tennis can be a challenging game to learn, but you’ll find we make it fun.  We’ll strive to have each child experience success early, so it keeps them excited about learning and fuels their interest to play again.  With the use of shorter courts and low-pressure tennis balls, we’ll advance even our youngest players into competitive playing opportunities within practice on a daily basis.  By the end of their session, many of our youth will already be thinking about all the fun they’ll have in the next session!
